To celebrate Chinese New Year, I created the Chinese icon, Jackie Chan, in the style of Porky Pig (for the year of the pig). It’s probably more the general Looney Tunes look, but it was very much based around the Porky Pig proportions and features.
I’m happy with the result, but my initial sketch had some flaws that had to be corrected in Illustrator. The eyes were pointing slightly towards each other, when they should have been pointing away from each other. I also increased the length of the eyes for that classic Porky Pig look. In future I need to spend a bit more time analysing the sketch and making corrections at that stage.
